ANGPTA Niuland terms ANARPTF ‘unauthorized body’

DIMAPUR, MARCH 19 (MExN): The All Nagaland Government Primary Teachers' Association (ANGPTA), Niuland District, has termed the All Nagaland Adhoc Regularised Primary Teachers' Forum (ANARPTF) a “self-styled and unauthorized body,” expressing concern over its reported activities.

In a press statement 19, the association stated that it was “shocked to learn of the existence of the All Nagaland Adhoc Regularised Primary Teachers' Forum (ANARPTF) through a press statement dated 19th March 2026,” adding that “within Niuland District, the existence of such a forum has never been heard of.” It further said the development “raises serious questions as to who directed teachers to pay membership fees to ANSTA and from where such directives originated.”

The ANGPTA, Niuland District, maintained that since its formation following the creation of the district, it “has never asked its members to pay membership fees and has been functioning through its own resources.” It added that “the formation of any association should not be for the purpose of collecting money, but rather to work for the welfare of its members and to promote unity among different cadres.”

Expressing concern, the association stated that it “finds it highly questionable that ANARPTF is seeking membership fees on behalf of ANSTA, which appears to be a dubious attempt to recover expenses.”

The statement further alleged that “the so-called ANARPTF appears to be a self-styled association, possibly formed by a few individuals from a particular district for their own selfish and ulterior motives, thereby undermining the legitimate interests of primary teachers as a whole.” It asserted that “ANARPTF is a questionable body with no mandate from teachers across the state.”

Describing the development as “a flimsy episode,” the association said it was “created by a few individuals to gain media attention” and termed it “nothing short of a farce.” It also claimed that “these self-styled individuals have suddenly emerged, speaking on behalf of ANSTA, even when the latter has cautioned primary teachers against paying membership fees.”

The ANGPTA, Niuland District, cautioned that “such individuals are advised not to bring disrepute upon themselves, as we will not hesitate to take appropriate action in the near future.”
