ANSTA urges promotees to comply with govt.

Kohima, September 14 (MExN): After a lot of stress and strain the restructuring of the department of school education as proposed by the All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA) in 2007 has finally materialized. ANSTA said in a release today adding that as a result of continuous pursuance of it for the last 5 years with strenuous effort, it has come to a reality when the official notification of departmental restructuring was issued on 21st July ’11 by the Govt. and made public by the minister for school education & SCERT Nyeiwang Konyak on September 5.
“The fruits of the seed sown way back in 2007 are to be enjoyed now as good number of employees of the department has been promoted through this restructuring,” the association said. ANSTA urged all the promotees to comply with the government order and join their respective posting places within the allotted time frame without complaint.
“Being a major restructuring of the department, there are certain loopholes/anamolies in the new structure but these few lapses can be rectified later on as there is room for rectification/amendment or reviewing of the same,” the association said.
In this, the association appealed all the officers/teachers who have been recently promoted to play a positive role so as to pave way for smooth implementation of the restructuring work.
Any promotee(s) out of greed/self-interest maneuvering VIPs, for retention/readjustment of posting places or lobbying against the government notification of restructuring shall be considered/treated as anti-department as they are obstructing revamping/streamlining of department which is for general welfare. The higher–ups those who entertain cases for retention/ adjustment of posting and transfer order of newly promoted person(s) should not talk about quality education as there is no connectivity between what they profess and how they act. Among the new promotees, if anyone refuses to accept the present order issued by the Govt, the person should resign/quit from his/her job so as to open the avenue either for their immediate lower grade colleagues or educated unemployed to fill it up, the Association said.
The Association representing 18,000 plus teachers across the state warned that “if the official notification of the departmental restructuring in its present form cannot be implemented due to intervention of internal forces in connivance with some vested authority(s), it is ready to go for close down all the government schools in the state to protest against such nefarious act which defeats the purpose of departmental restructuring which aims at providing quality and value education. And the concerned person/party/group involved in the act shall be held direct responsibility for the same.”
Further, the association appealed the competent authority to implement the notification of restructuring promptly without hesitation as it has been restructured in the larger interest of the department.
