Changtongya, August 17 (DIPR): All Private School Association (APSA) under Changtongya Town organized, a get together with the theme ‘Solidarity Towards Excellence’ on August 15, 2011 at Government Primary School Changtongya B. The function was chaired by Sangpi from Oriental School. SDO(Civil) Changtongya Chubawati while speaking on the occasion said that teachers are the backbone of the students and also to guide the students in the right direction. He further encouraged the students to respect their teachers and to maintain discipline.
Exhortation speech was also delivered by T. Ali Longkumer SIS, Changtongya. Principal, Christian Standard HSS, Lima Langu delivered the keynote address and vote of thanks was delivered by Bendangla, Teacher St. John School. Other highlights of the function were skits, drama and dance tittled ‘In the Light’ by Sunrise Kindergarden School, ‘the Nawab of Salimabat’ by Spring Field, Preparatory School, ‘Messiah highlight’ by Green River Valley School HS, ‘the Legend of a Cowboy’ by Oriental School, ‘I Wanna be More Like You’ by St. John School and a musical play from Christian Standard HSS.
The result of the extempore Speech competition was announced by Rachel and the prize was distributed by Rev. T. Yanger Pastor while invocation and benediction was pronounced by T. Aliba Yimchen Associate Pastor, CTBA and by Rev. T. Yanger Pastor Longchara Baptist Church Changtongya respectively.
