Dignitaries with participants of awareness rally on 1st anniversary of Op Sindoor in Kohima on May 9
Kohima, May 10 (MExN): The Assam Rifles has conducted an awareness rally at Kohima on May 9 on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Operation Sindoor.
According to an update, the rally was conducted in collaboration with 1 Nagaland Bn NCC, Government High School, PWD Kohima and NCC Cadets of ARPS, with an aim to spread awareness regarding the significance of Op Sindoor and to promote the spirit of patriotism, unity and national integration amongst the local populace, especially the youth.
The rally commenced from TCP- Pholbari – Razhu Point – Children Park, Kohima Garrison with active participation by students, NCC cadets, teachers and Assam Rifles personnel.
A total of 30 cadets from 1 Nagaland Bn NCC, 20 students from Government High School, PWD Colony, 16 cadets from ARPS, Kohima and 30 troops from Assam Rifles participated in the event.
During the rally, pamphlets were distributed to civilians at various locations to generate awareness on national unity, peace and public cooperation.
Participants also raised awareness slogans highlighting the importance of social harmony, communal harmony and national service.
The initiative received positive response from local residents and further strengthened the bond between Assam Rifles and the local community while encouraging active public participation towards nation-building activities.
