Arunachal governor interacts with troops

ITAGANAR, JANUARY 4 (DIPR): Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (Retd) interacted with Indian Army troops of 20 MADRAS in a Sainik Sammelan at Chowkham on January 3, 2020. The Governor said that bravery, discipline and camaraderie the troops of the Madras Regiment have always been exemplary and emulative.

 


Reminding the officers and troops, the Motto of Madras Regiment ‘Swadharme Nidhanam Shreyaha (It is a glory to die doing one’s duty), the Governor said that physical fitness, training and operational management of the Madras Regiment have been one of the best attributes amongst all the regiments of Indian Army. He exhorted the troops to maintain the combat spirit and rise to ensure the best defence of our borders.

 


Stating that every troop must imbibe the ‘Nation First’ spirit’, the Governor said that the gallantry of the Indian soldiers and strong apex political leadership have proved the standing of the Indian Armed Forces in international security scenario. 

 


The Governor urged the troops to strengthen the bonhomie with the local population.

 


Major General Sanjeev Chauhan, the General Officer Commanding of 2 Mountain Division and Brigadier Sajeev Kataria, Commander, 82 Mountain Brigade,  Col PA Parthasaradi Pathrudu, Commanding Officer of 20 MADRAS were present during the Governor’s visit to the 20 MADRAS Battalion Headquarters at Chowkham.
