Dimapur, May 24 (MExN): Assam Rifles organised a “Sunday on Cycle” event in Dimapur under the Fit India campaign to promote physical fitness, healthy living and environmental awareness among troops, youth and local residents.
The event witnessed participation from Assam Rifles personnel and their families, students and civilians, reflecting the spirit of collective fitness and national unity, informed a press release from the PRO IGAR (N).

The cycling rally was organised to encourage citizens to adopt cycling as a regular fitness activity while spreading awareness on healthy lifestyles and pollution-free environments.
The event also highlighted Assam Rifles’ commitment towards youth engagement, community outreach and nation-building through sports and fitness initiatives, the release stated.
The initiative aimed at strengthening ties with local communities while inspiring young people to lead disciplined, active and healthy lives.

The programme concluded with participants pledging to continue promoting fitness and cycling as an eco-friendly and sustainable mode of transport.
According to the release, the event received an overwhelming response and conveyed the message of unity, wellness and collective responsibility towards building a fitter and healthier India.
