He is happy to note that the brothers have been doing great social works in and around Mariani in particular and the state of Assam in general. In an emotional interaction with his pupils after a long break, Shri Bora was very enthusiastic about this occasion of sharing moments together and hoped and wished his pupils a bright and successful career in days to come.
In today’s nostalgic function, the President of Mariani Press Club Shri Jibon Dutta has attributed the whole event saying it is comparable only with that of “Durnacharjya (the great teacher in Mahabharata epic) and that of his loyal student “Arjuna”. He thanked the great Naga-Assamese students of Mariani who are a domestic names not only in Mariani but also in Assam as they have been associating in all spheres of Assamese culture in their lives and thus proving their affinity to Assamese society. He recalled the association of Mr Temsu with ASSU’s agitation during 1979-83 where he along with his student colleagues were jailed several times which was a part of the student activity at that time. He wished that this “Guru Dakshina” (Honouring Teachers) makes a right sense in inculcating a strong humane bond between the Assamese-Naga communities in the days to come and wished all the best for all the concerned.
