Dimapur, May 30 (MExN): The Ao Students' Union Dimapur (ASUD) on May 28 launched its official website and an Entrepreneurship and Business Development Initiative aimed at promoting innovation, self-reliance and entrepreneurial growth among students and young professionals.
The website, www.asud.in, and the entrepreneurship initiative were launched at a programme held at the official residence of Nagaland Chief Secretary, Sentiyanger Imchen.
According to ASUD, the website will serve as a digital platform for disseminating information on the union's activities, announcements, student-related initiatives and organisational updates. The platform is expected to strengthen communication and engagement among students and the wider community.
The Entrepreneurship and Business Development Initiative has been introduced with the objectives of promoting entrepreneurship and business development, encouraging innovation, building a supportive community, supporting sustainable development and strengthening marketing skills.
The initiative seeks to support aspiring entrepreneurs through access to resources, networking opportunities, training and mentorship, market access and capacity-building programmes, the union said.
Speaking at the launch, Imchen lauded ASUD's efforts in embracing digital advancement and promoting entrepreneurship among the younger generation.
He underscored the importance of innovation, leadership and self-reliance in a rapidly evolving world and encouraged students to contribute actively towards economic growth and community development.
The chief secretary also urged the union to adopt a practical approach and work collectively towards the overall growth and progress of society.
ASUD expressed gratitude to Imchen for his encouragement and support towards youth empowerment and developmental initiatives.
The union said the launch of the website and entrepreneurship platform marks a significant step towards modernization, enhanced connectivity and fostering entrepreneurial growth among students and young professionals.
