
Delegates from Nagaland along with the resource persons during the 1st NE India Regional Workshop on 100% Voluntary Blood Donation at Mizoram.
DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 26 (MExN): The 1st North East India Regional Workshop on 100% Voluntary Blood Donation was held at Mizoram from September 21 and 22. Seven delegates representing the Association of Voluntary Blood Donors Nagaland (AVBDN), led by Dr. Limakum Jamir and Alipok Jamir from Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), participated in the workshop organized by the Mizoram State AIDS Control Society, informed a release issued by the President of AVBDN, Vimeno Liegise and the Secretary Akum Jamir.
AVBDN has also extended its gratitude to NSACS for sponsoring the expenses during the trip. It further informed that Nagaland, for the first time, has registered under the National Forum for Voluntary Blood Donors Association.
Meanwhile, AVBDN has also appealed every concerned citizen to join the nation in donating blood on National Voluntary Blood Donation Day on October 1.
