Kohima, July 10 (MExN): Axis Bank Chunlikha Branch was inaugurated today by Tseminyu Deputy Commissioner Japheth Woch.
Speaking on the occasion, Woch thanked Axis Bank for opening a Branch in Chunlikha under the directives of DFS and state government.
This bank will provide the opportunity for the public of Chunlikha Block to avail all the Banking Facilities from having a savings account to digital banking to availing loan facilities including various Govt Schemes like CMMFI, PMEGP.
Woch stressed on the importance of being financially independent and appealed the public to come forward and work closely with the District Administration, Village Council and the Bank.
The DC also highlighted the role of Banks in the upliftment and building the economy of the District by providing loans to Entrepreneurs, SHGs, Students and Individuals while he requested the public to support Axis Bank.
Expecting the Bank to work closely with the District Administration, he assured to provide all possible support for the smooth functioning of the Bank.
Poujaulung, Vice President & Cluster Head, Axis Bank Dimapur Cluster mentioned that Chunlikha was opened under Unbanked Block as per directives from DFS, State Govt and Finance Department, Govt of Nagaland.
Axis Bank has a total of 18 Branches with 25 ATMs across 8 districts in Nagaland.
The Cluster Head highlighted that Chunlikha Branch is a full-fledged Branch and is equipped to provide all services and facilitate the public in terms of Financial Literacy in Chunlikha Block under Tseminyu District.
The Chunlikha Branch will provide services Personal Banking - Savings & Current Accounts, Fixed Deposit, Credit & Debit Cards, Loans & Financing: Personal Loans, Auto Loans, Education Loans, Home Loans, Investment & Insurance - Mutual Funds, Sovereign Gold Bonds, National Pension System (NPS), Digital Gold and Insurance Policies - Life, Health, General, Government Sponsored Schemes - APY, PMJJBY, PMSBY and PMJDY, Financial Literacy Camps to be conducted across all the Villages under Chunlikha Block and Digital Banking - Mobile App, WhatsApp Banking & Internet Banking.
Poujaulung, thanked the DFS, State Govt, DC, RBI Kohima, SLBC Nagaland, Village Councils, Churches, Student Unions, Colleagues, Families and well-wishers for their kind presence during the inauguration program and appeal them to support the Bank in all the future endeavours with an assurance to provide all banking facilities to the public of various villages under Chunlikha Block and Tseminyu District.

He also appealed the public of all the villages under Chunlikha Block to come forward to avail the banking facilities from Axis Bank.
