Azo urges students to study hard

Kohima | September 10 : Minister for health & family welfare Küzholüzo (Azo) Nienu today urged upon the students to study hard so as to achieve their desired goal. Speaking at the silver jubilee- cum- fresher’s day of Chakhesang Students’ Union, St. Joseph College, Jakhama held at Ura Academy Hall Kohima, the minister also called upon the students not to divert their mind, saying that students tend to divert their mind whenever they join party or leisure time and forget their study.
The minister said, leisure time often dominates their minds and they forget their study, resulting drop-out problem. “I do not want you to be a liability,” Azo said and urged upon them to study hard and become an asset in the society.
Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) president Kelhouneizo Yhome in his greeting message said that today were living in a competitive and advanced world for which we cannot compete with others without acquiring basic knowledge and wisdom.
Stating that education is the key component to march with others in this modern society, he urged upon the students to dedicate and commit themselves in all effort.
Chakhesang Students Union (CSU) president Esther Rhakho, Chakhesang Students’ Union Kohima (CSUK) president Dode Nakhro and Abel Turen, ex-president CSUSJC also shared greeting message.
Earlier, CSUSJC president Nuvezo Kotso delivered presidential address while general secretary report was read out by Akhro Ritse.
The silver jubilee celebration also marked by business hour, jubilee feast, release of souvenir, alumni voice, special numbers and entertainment.
