Bank of Baroda presents ₹2,811 crore dividend to Finance Minister

Mumbai, June 29 (MExN): Bank of Baroda presented a dividend cheque of ₹2,811 crore to Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman for the financial year ended March 31, 2026.

The cheque was presented by the bank's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Debadatta Chand, in the presence of Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), and the bank's Executive Directors Lalit Tyagi, Sanjay Mudaliar, Lal Singh and Beena Vaheed, according to a press release from the bank. 

The dividend follows the bank's declaration of a dividend of ₹8.50 per equity share, equivalent to 425 per cent of the face value of ₹2 per share, for FY 2025-26.

Bank of Baroda reported a standalone net profit of ₹20,021 crore during FY 2025-26, crossing the ₹20,000 crore annual profit mark for the first time. 

Its global business also surpassed ₹30 lakh crore as on March 31, 2026, the release added.
