Dimapur, May 21 (MExN): An induction programme of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Association was held at the District Education Office in Nagarajan, Dimapur, on May 21.

During the programme, Y Mughao Zhimo was inducted as District Chief Commissioner and Kitoshi Z Swu as District Secretary of the association.

The induction ceremony was conducted by officials of the Bharat Scouts and Guides Association, with Viheli Kiba inducting Kitoshi Z Swu and Hokali Sema, while Aotoshi inducted Y Mughao Zhimo.

Delivering the welcome address, V K Shah, State Commissioner (Scouts) and principal of Vidhya Bhawan Higher Secondary School, highlighted the activities and importance of the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement.

Speaking on the occasion, Zhimo described his induction into the movement as a “great honour and privilege.”

He said the movement was not merely an organisation but a mission that builds character, discipline, leadership, service and patriotism among young people.

Zhimo also assured his commitment to strengthening the scouting and guiding movement in the district and called upon schools and communities to support the initiative so that more students could benefit from its activities.

Addressing the gathering, Swu expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her and said the movement promotes discipline, teamwork, service and love for the nation.

She assured her support towards strengthening scouting activities and nurturing responsible citizens with strong character and compassion.

Hokali Sema, in her remarks, said her focus as District Organising Commissioner (Guide) would be on reaching girls in schools without Guide Companies and supporting Guiders in overcoming challenges.
