Kohima, November 28 (MExN): The Confederation of All Nagaland State Service Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) held its triennial session 2020 at the CANSSEA Conference hall, Themezie, Kohima on November 27.

The session was chaired by Dr Tali Imsong, the outgoing CANSSEA president who in his remark called on CANSSEA members to be ready to face any challenges on any issue in such a trying time like ours today. Unlike the previous years the session was held in a low key affair in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with limited number of invitees. Earlier, he led the programme with an observance of a minutes silence in memory of CANSSEA members who had passed away.

Dr Ilang, the new president of CANSSEA, called on the members to infuse themselves with the spirit of work culture to better serve the public. He also assured to work to protect the rights of the employees while also expressing his desire to work with the Government.

Elects new office bearers 

Office bearer for the tenure 2020-23 was elected with the following members: President-Dr Ilang; Vice President -Zubemo Tsanglo and Chubayanger Aier; General Secretary- Dr Hovithal Sothu; Join Secretary- Yaongsanglee Chang and Yhunsenlo Kent; Finance Secretary- Akaho K Yeptho; Press & Information Secretary- Siewatho Nyusou; Women Coordinators Toshinaro Ovung, Visetonuo Angami; Treasurer-  Veyielo Doulo; and Advisor- Dr Tali Imsong.
