Medziphema, October 6 (MExN): A one-day career guidance seminar was organised for students and youth of Sirhima village by the Sirhima Youth and Students’ Organisation (SYSU) on October 5.

The event, held at the Sunday School Chapel Hall, Sirhima under Medziphema aimed to motivate young learners and provide insights into various educational and career opportunities, with over 80 participants in attendance, according to a DIPR report.

Lamhaomang Singson, Information Assistant from Department of Information and Public Relations, spoke on the ‘Importance of Education and Time Management as a Student,’ emphasising education as the key to opportunities and success.

Hoineichong Singson, Technical Assistant, Nagaland University, encouraged students to treat education as a privilege and highlighted potential in the field of agriculture.

Nengngainem Singson, Postal Assistant, Department of Posts, provided an overview of examinations conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) and guidance on preparation.

Seitinngam Singson, LDA, Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, briefed participants on state-level competitive examinations. The seminar concluded with an interactive Q&A session, marking a successful initiative by SYSU to guide and empower the youth of Sirhima Village.
