Dimapur, September 14 (MExN): In a joint statement, Kirha Village Council, Women Society and Youth Society have strongly condemned the shocking incident of attempted rape on a seven year old girl by Vitouzo Sekhose in Chumukedima Ward No.1 and alleged rape committed rape on a woman at Khopanalla by Khayed Ali on the same day. Such barbaric and inhuman act in the society need to be condemn along with necessary measures of actions.
At the right time, Chumukedima Mother's Association has intervened followed with a wise decision to banish the accused persons permanently from Chumukedima jurisdiction from September 9, the statement further added. The statement also mentioned that half month back, Chakhro Women Organisation organized a silent procession in memory of Lt. Avino on 26-08-11, with the meaningful slogan “Movement against atrocities towards girl child and women.”
However, such heinous crimes is continuously faced by the women folk and left our society in dark situation. To check this anti social element, full cooperation of general public is important but law enforcing agency need to take more responsible. As a genuine citizen let us take firm hand with a motto “no stone left unturned against evil work.”
