CM Rio, NPF condole demise of Khekuto Jakha

Kohima, March 23 (MExN): Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and the Naga People's Front (NPF) have expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Khekuto Jakha, Vice President (Central Office Bearer) of the party, who passed away on March 23 in Dimapur.

In a condolence message, Rio described Jakha as a humble, cheerful and kind-hearted person, recalling his personal association and shared experiences. He said Jakha would be remembered for his dedication, sincerity, commitment and integrity.

“His demise has created a void that will be difficult to fill and is a great loss to the NPF in particular and the Sumi community in general,” Rio said, extending condolences to the bereaved family and praying for strength and solace during the difficult time.

Meanwhile, the NPF also expressed profound sorrow at the passing of its senior leader, describing him as a veteran who made immense contributions to the party and society.

The party said Jakha’s unwavering dedication, steadfast leadership and commitment to its ideals would be remembered with respect and gratitude. It noted that he served as a pillar of strength, guiding the party with wisdom, integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.

The NPF extended condolences to the bereaved family, relatives and well-wishers, and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
