Col C K Nayudu Trophy: Bihar defeat Nagaland

Dimapur, February 1 (MExN):  Bihar today inflicted an innings and 75 runs defeat on Nagaland in their Col C K Nayudu Trophy (2019-20) Plate Group encounter at Urja Stadium, Patna.

 


Consolidating on their first innings lead of 296 runs, Bihar team bowled out Nagaland for 221 in 60.1 overs in their second innings on Day-4, 75 runs shorts the former’s 1st innings total.  

 


Earlier on day -1, Nagaland opted to field after winning the toss but it proved to be costly as Bihar made a mammoth 486 runs, before declaring their innings after losing 6 wickets in 121.1 overs.

 


In reply, Nagaland could produce only 190 runs in their first innings forcing follow-on. 

 


While Nagaland improved upon their previous total in the second innings, it could not rescue the team from facing an innings and 75 runs defeat.
