Dimapur, September 10 (MExN): The 24th AR while conducting Mobile Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) on September 8 at 6th Mile Dimapur area recovered 1411 kgs of contraband ganja from the possession of Md Mani Haque and Md. Surmat Ali. 7The AR personnel arrested the two accused persons and also seized the contraband ganja, which were later handed over to the office of the Superintendent of Excise and Prohibition. After investigation and enquires in office both the accused persons were forwarded judicial custody booked under relevant section NDPS Act ’85.
Again on September 9 at 4:20 pm, the district excise check gate duty party led by Assistant Inspector of Excise Shihai Yeptho along with seven other excise personnel seized 264 bottles of rum and beer from the possession of one Kaboto Sumi of Zunheboto Town. The accused person was penalized as per the relevant section of NLTP Act ’89.
