COVID-19: NPF MLAs donate one-month salary in Nagaland

The members of the main opposition party, Naga People’s Front (NPF) in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) have decided to donate one-month salary to meet the exigencies arising in the fight against the COVID19 pandemic.

Informing about the donation on his official Facebook page, the Leader of the Opposition in NLA, TR Zeliang stated:

“The NPF MLAs has decided to donate One Month salary, towards exigencies arising in the fight against #COVID19.”

The office of the Speaker has been “authorised to deduct from source and handover the same to the implementing agency authorized by State Government,” he said.

He further urged the public to be “vigilant in our ways and be a stickler of the guidelines to stay safe.”

“It is a battle which we need to fight collectively and only then can we be triumphant and jubilant in the end. Stay Home, Stay Safe,” he added.
