CSU to stage protest against NHIDCL, contractor

PHEK, MAY 9 (MExN): The Chakhesang Students’ Union (CSU) on Friday announced that it would stage a peaceful protest on May 10, following the expiry of an ultimatum issued on May 2 to the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL) and EPC contractor M/S Ratna Infra Project Pvt Ltd. The protest, scheduled to begin at 9 AM, is being organised to express dismay over the alleged non-compliance and inaction by NHIDCL and the contractor regarding issues previously raised by the union. “The lack of response has left us with no option but to democratically express our disappointment,” the CSU stated in a release. Appealing the public for support, the union said the collective voice and solidarity of the people remain crucial in holding authorities accountable.
