DCCI flags poor Jio network in Phek, cautions of action

Phek, March 21 (MExN): The Phek District Chamber of Commerce & Industry (PDCCI) has raised concern over poor telecom services, particularly those of Jio, in Phek town and surrounding areas.

In a statement, the PDCCI maintained that unreliable network connectivity, including frequent fluctuations and call drops, has persisted since February 2026, affecting the general public, business community and students who depend heavily on internet services for daily activities.

It noted that despite the increasing reliance on digital connectivity, there has been no visible improvement in service quality, which has led to growing inconvenience across sectors.

The chamber urged the service provider to address the issue at the earliest, cautioning that failure to do so may compel it to initiate further action, including lockdown of Jio office in the district until services improve.

Appealing to the concerned authorities, the PDCCI called for immediate steps to ensure reliable network connectivity in the area.
