Dimapur, October 1 (MExN): Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Dimapur will visit the residences of electors who have been issued notices due to unmapped status or logical discrepancies during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Electoral Rolls, 2026. A press release from the Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Dimapur informed that BLOs will collect and upload the requisite documents through the BLO App.
The DC clarified that electors who have received such notices "need not visit the office of the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO)/Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO) for a hearing." It stated that only in exceptional cases where a hearing is considered necessary will the concerned ERO take a decision. Such hearings, if required, will be conducted online.
"The date and time of such hearing shall be intimated to the concerned elector through the respective BLO at a later stage," the release stated. It further informed that any adult member of the family may be authorised by the elector to attend the hearing on their behalf, if required.
