Dimapur, April 29 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has convened a joint consultative meeting of Dimapur-based civil society organisations (CSOs) on May 6 to deliberate on the ongoing construction of the World Class Dimapur Railway Station project. According to a circular issued in continuation of an earlier notification, which was postponed, the meeting will be held at 11:30 am at the NCD Office Conference Hall.
The meeting will be attended by councillors and office bearers of the NCD, along with representatives from various tribal hohos and unions, including the Chakhro Angami Kuda Union, Anal Hoho Dimapur, Ao Senso Telongjem Dimapur, Chang Union Dimapur, Western Chakhesang Hoho Dimapur, Khiamniungan Union Dimapur, Konyak Union Dimapur, Lotha Hoho Dimapur, Mao Hoho Dimapur, Poumai Hoho Dimapur, Western Pochury Hoho Dimapur, Phom Union Dimapur, Rengma Public Organisation Dimapur, Rongmei Community Dimapur, Sangtam Union Dimapur, Sumi Council Dimapur, Tangkhul Union Dimapur, Tikhir Union Dimapur, Yimkhiung Union Dimapur, and Zeliang Public Organisation Dimapur.
Other invited organisations include the Dimapur Urban Colony Chairmen Federation, Dimapur Naga Students’ Union, Naga Women Hoho Dimapur, GB Union Dimapur Sadar, Dimapur District GB Association, Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Western Sumi Council Dimapur, Chakhro Public Organisation, Dimapur District Citizens’ Forum, East Dimapur Village Council Chairmen Forum, East Dimapur Tribal Council, and East Dimapur Youth Organisation.
The NCD has requested all invited stakeholders to attend the meeting, stating that their views would be recorded as the voice of the public in shaping the project and achieving common developmental goals for the people of the state.
