Kohima, October 28 (MExN): The Nagaland Science Mission (NSM), under the Department of Science and Technology, has invited eligible Naga technologists, innovators, researchers, scientists and professionals working in various science and technology sectors to register for its Human Resource (HR) database.
The initiative aims to establish a unified networking platform for indigenous Nagas in the scientific community and promote sustainable development across the state. It will also help identify and nominate deserving individuals for the state Science and Technology Awards in recognition of their exceptional contributions at the national and international levels.
The NSM is currently updating its HR database of Naga technologists, innovators, researchers and scientists. The updated database will serve as a resource for identifying and nominating eligible candidates for the awards, which recognise outstanding achievements and contributions in their respective fields.
The awards include the Nagaland Science Award, which recognises outstanding achievements and distinguished contributions in science and technology, and the Young Scientist Award, intended for individuals aged 35 years and below.
The Nagaland Technology Award will recognise contributions across various technological domains, including digital technology, artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies; green technology and sustainable technologies; and rural development technologies and rural technology transfers, among other related areas.
Eligible individuals interested in registering with the NSM have been requested to submit their updated resumes, along with a recent photograph and all relevant documents, via email to [email protected] or in person at the NSM office.
The application format will be communicated to applicants upon receipt of their resumes, according to a statement issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).
The last date for completing registration is December 15, 2026.
