Dimapur, May 10 (MExN): Dimapur Police has recovered the body of an unidentified male from an unused enclosure corridor behind a railway building near the main entrance gate of the railway platform in Dimapur and appealed to relatives or acquaintances to come forward for identification.
According to police, verbal information was received on May 9 at around 4:30 pm stating that the body of an unidentified male, suspected to be a non-Naga aged between 45 and 50 years, was found lying dead at the location. Following the information, personnel from the police station rushed to the spot for verification.
Police said an inquest was conducted and the cause of death was suspected to be due to hunger or illness. After completion of all legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
The deceased was described as having a moustache and was wearing a spotted sweater and black trousers.
