KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 22 (MExN): Director of MGNREGA, Ministry of Rural Development, L.Fanai on his maiden visit to Nagaland inspected villages including Kohima, Nerhema, Khuzama, Mima, Meitelephe, etc with respect to the project sponsored by the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme.
He also verified the job cards and held interactions with the villages concerned, wherein the village leaders also called upon him to enhance the number of job cards. He said that he would communicate it to the Ministry. Under this scheme, he also interacted with the women folk and while inspecting the piggery, poultry farm etc under this scheme, he expressed satisfaction on the judicious use of the funds being provided under this scheme.
He was accompanied by the Department Officials both from the Rural Development and Social Welfare.
