Dimapur, July 1 (MExN): The Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has directed all individuals carrying out unauthorised activities within its jurisdiction to stop work immediately, warning of penalties for violations. In a notice, the council said it had observed several illegal activities within the municipal area, including dumping of materials along roadsides, construction of buildings without obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC), boring activities without permission, and unauthorised construction or reconstruction of buildings. The DMC directed all persons undertaking such activities without prior approval from the competent authority to cease work with immediate effect. It warned that anyone found violating the order would be liable to pay a fine of Rs 3,000 and would also face further action in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations of the council.
