Do you believe truthfulness and integrity need to be today's defining characteristic of Naga public life? Give Reasons

Yes:
•    Because corruption is the main obstacle in the road towards development. There's corruption from top to the bottom, most of Nagas if given a chance would choose to get rich overnight than maintain integrity. There is no sense of fear or accountability when it comes to negligence in professional work because people at the top themselves are occupied mostly with their personal interests and people at the bottom dare not to voice out because of the social stigma. Professional and personal relationship should not be mixed up which is lacking in our state. Outsiders also tend to take advantage of this situation.

•    Historical truth with selfless integrity cannot be compromised in defining who the Nagas are and stands for.

•    Main problem is our older Naga generations, who have led the youngsters into believing their idiocracy of truthfulness and integrity when they are not at all. It’s really difficult in a society where poor or rich alike talked about backdoor appointments as a normal issue, NLTP act is a Naga problem when they have failed terribly to uphold it, they pray on Sundays for their children but sell their votes, etc. Actually, there are many things and words to describe about our older generations who are really vile and evil in their ways, it really pains me to even think about it, you talked about backdoor appointments with them, then they ll tell you about how the world is like this when they have brought these issues unto us. Our church leaders talked about how even if darkness prevails, man will hold onto the love of Christ and for better days, but no, the Naga society is made into a lawlessness society by the older generations, still then, they won’t even utter a righteous judgment. It’s a burden, to be in this place right now, but I do believe that there will be a better day for the gen-z and millennial, a better Nagaland. Truthfulness and integrity will flourish

•    Our ancestors were peculiar in the sense, they were identified not by the numbers of Heads they hung around their homes, or the size of tattoos on their body. On every foreign account of Nagas, what peculiar traits we were identified was that, we were considered Truthful in our identity and full of integrity in our daily conducts. Today what defines Nagas? Is it building a superficial lifestyle through extortions, scams? Or manipulating others for our personal objective through our superb speeches in Social platforms? The one calling spade a spade is looked down as Social Stigma, Outcast and Menace for Social Order. Nevertheless, if our identity is Social Validation based. Than our identity is Invalid and Flawed.

•    The foundational trust between citizens and state institutions is dangerously eroding. When those entrusted with upholding the law manipulate it for personal or partisan gain, cronyism flourishes and societal norms degrade. If unchecked, this institutional compromise puts the stability of governance on a path of self-destruction. A system devoid of core values breeds profound disillusionment among dedicated public servants. Good workers inside the system get discouraged. There is currently no safe way for a junior officer to report a boss who abuses their power. If you try to speak up, you risk your own job while the person doing wrong gets away with it. To reverse this decline, we must move beyond passive expectations of morality to active institutional safeguards.

•    There are two shifts in certain part of Naga community. 1. Indigenous traditional practice to western religious practice. 2. Religious practice to political imperialism. The reversal from these two shifts will definitely reinstall Naga Community to its original defining characters of truthfulness and integrity today for they are ever known and famous, different from other tribal community. Though in general their basic defining character of Naga public life believe in truthfulness and integrity needed for today's public life.

•    Truthfulness and integrity have been traits and core characters of true "Naga being."

•    Without a second thought its YES because our Naga society has evolve to such a state where truthfulness n integrity remains in shadow in almost every walks of life. we have become too insensitive to truth n integrity due to factors like globalization, modernity n rush for status consciousness.

•    Without truth and integrity there is no future for the Nagas. All the corruption and nepotism are because there are no more truth and integrity in Naga public life.

•    Yes, without truth and integrity there is no future for the Nagas. All the corruption and nepotism are because there are no more truth and integrity in Naga public life

•    Absolutely. Starting from Church.

No:
•    The fact that this has to be asked and questioned is all the more reason why it should be.

•    It has become a big problem for Nagas when it comes to MONEY.

•    Nagas has become dishonest in money matters where truthfulness and integrity are compromised.
