Dimapur, October 4 (MExN): The Dorians Society, Dimapur will organise the 5th Dorians Society Spelling Bee 2026 on October 31, inviting government and private schools from Dimapur, Chümoukedima and Niuland districts to participate. According to the organising committee, each participating school can nominate two students from Classes 7 and 8, accompanied by a teacher-coordinator.
The registration fee is Rs 200 per student, while government school students are exempted. The deadline for submission of forms is October 23. The competition will be held at Kingdom Culture Church, Vikiye Complex, Tajen Ao Road (formerly Circular Road), opposite Notun Basti junction. Participants have been asked to arrive by 9:30 am to complete formalities and avoid delays.
The competition will be conducted under a panel of judges and pronouncers/moderators selected by the organising committee. Each competitor will have two minutes to spell a word from the dictionary and may request its meaning, part of speech, etymology and an example of usage.
