MON, OCTOBER 9 (MExN): As part of the Wildlife Week 2025 celebration, a children’s storybook titled Earth Keepers was launched at the Konyak Union Hall, Mon Town. The book was officially released by CL John, Minister, Department of Environment, Forest & Climate Change & Village Guards, Government of Nagaland, a press release stated.

Authored by Florence T. Sangtam, Forest Ranger, and published by 6th Finger Publishers, Earth Keepers invites young readers to embark on an enchanting journey through the lush hills and vibrant cultures of Nagaland. The book beautifully interlaces stories inspired by the seventeen tribes of Nagaland, each tale reflecting the unique customs, values, and traditional wisdom that define their deep bond with nature.

Through its engaging narratives, Earth Keepers encourages children to embrace values of unity, kindness, respect for nature, and community harmony. Each story features a young protagonist who embodies the spirit of environmental stewardship — inspiring readers to become true guardians of the Earth.

The launch of Earth Keepers not only marked a literary milestone but also reaffirmed Nagaland’s enduring commitment to fostering environmental awareness among the next generation, the press release added.
