Kohima, December 27 (MExN): The Election Commission of India (ECI) has ordered a Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the Photo Electoral Rolls with January 1, 2026 as the qualifying date for the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency, where a bye-election is due.
The Commission announced the following schedule for the process: rationalisation of polling stations will be completed by December 29, 2025. The integrated draft electoral roll will be published on January 3, 2026. The period for filing claims and objections will run from January 3, 2026 to January 24, 2026. Disposal of these claims and objections will be completed by February 7, 2026, with the final electoral roll published on February 14, 2026.
The revision will utilise standard forms: Form 6 - application for new voter or elector; Form 6A - application for inclusion of name in electoral roll by an overseas elector; Form 7 - application form for objection for proposed inclusion or deletion of name in existing electoral roll; Form 8 - application form for shifting of residence or correction of entries in existing electoral roll, replacement of EPIC or marking of PwD.
The applicant can voluntarily furnish their Aadhaar Number in Form 6 and Form 8.
Electors can submit these forms to the concerned Booth Level Officer (BLO), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (AERO), or Electoral Registration Officer (ERO). The forms are available for download on the ECI and Chief Electoral Officer’s websites. Applications can also be filed online through the National Voters’ Service Portal at www.voters.eci.gov.in.
