Pfutsero | October 7 : State Planning Board (SPB) deputy chairman Neiba Kronu today asserted that education is an endless process and meant for all people, for which all the people irrespective of age or position must continue to learn.
Speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of Government High School Pfutsero under Phek district here today, Kronu maintained “Education is a combination of parents, teachers and students.”
In this, he urged upon the parents not to think that education means only for children, but all must involve in the continuous process of learning. Living upto the continuous process of education, Kronu told the gathering that he too wishes to know and learn more each day for which he often consult his advisors and read books.
He said the world today is turning into a global village, for which a quality and smartest one are demanded.
“They don’t want 2nd or 3rd class but they want only the best among the best,” he said.
He reminded that students that job is everywhere but they will not get job if they don’t study hard and equip themselves to face the competitive world.
Stating that the government is impossible to provide job to everyone, he stressed on the need to venture out to avail various opportunity being offered by private sectors.
Maintaining that the students in the northeast region can speak English better than Japanese or Chinese, he said “English is the most expensive commodity in the world,” for which the people of the region have take such advantage and venture out for employment beyond the state.
Stating that the demand for job are immense from South East Asian countries, multi national companies, navy, railway etc, he, however said such opportunity will always focus upon the best and smartest one, for which the students must study hard and grab such opportunity.
Urging the students to give more effort in their studies, he told the students that they will not be blessed a child if they spend parent’s money in unnecessary manner.
Stressing on the need to provide a conductive atmosphere for learners, Kronu cited an example where educational institutions in abroad are mostly set up in a healthy environment in order to fresh the mind of the learners. “Educational institution should be in a healthy place,” he said adding the unhygienic and dirty place is not suit for students, parent and teachers, justifying that “ a beautiful place is required for human resource development.”
Maintaining that Pfutsero town is not only the highest in term of altitude but even highest in aesthetic form, he said that such quality is well adored by many people.
He, however said, for quite sometime, “ We could not beautify this town.” In this, he stressed on the need to enhance the level of sanitation and beautification of the town.
He also said that development of Pfutsero lake, multi purpose hall, TT stadium, ongoing construction of gallery of Pfutsero Play ground and the ongoing road constructions in and around Pfutsero area are among the many latest developmental activities where the present DAN government was paying much attention.
Sensing the desire of the people, he told the gathering that he will try his best to upgrade GHS Pfustero to that of Higher Secondary level for which it would be tabled in the DPDB meeting and forward to the concerned department for necessary consideration thereof.
Touching on Jubilee theme “Looking forward,” Kronu said “we will all be looking for your best performance” and further urged upon them to show their good performance where all would feel proud of it.
