Dimapur, August 6 (MExN): Responding to the write-up “Naga Students Union Burma” published on August 6The Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) has clarified that it is the only students’ body for the Nagas in Myanmar and that the “Naga Students Union Burma” is not a proper organization.
““Naga Students Union Burma” is not proper Organization, without concerning with ENSA it is not right to make double student body organization for the Nagas of Myanmar. We should not pay puzzle to the any organizations or the governments” it stated in a rejoinder appended by its vice president Mankhat Konyak. It further clarified in the note that the ENSA is the sole studens’ organization besides “Naga Yu Ya (apex body) NBC (religious)”.
“Unlike many other secular states, the country where we belong does not hold any freedom for NGOS/ Union/social movement since the government itself is a “Union government” and therefore, no organization/ Union beside above mention is accountable/ recognized by the government of Myanmar. Therefore, Naga brothers everywhere and the global community who surfer have a heart for suffering Eastern Naga (of Myanmar) should not be confused with those who use name “Naga” “Union” as license to find their way for personal benefit/business,” it stated in the rejoinder.
