Tuensang, March 12 (MExN): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) has expressed serious concern over the alleged negligence of duty by certain government officials in the region.
In a statement issued by ENSF Vice President Pusho P and General Secretary James Konyak, noted that reports from public sources indicate several officials are failing to discharge their duties diligently and are frequently absent from their designated stations. The federation asserted, “Such negligence is a direct hindrance to the welfare of our people.”
Therefore, the Federation has mandated all its units to undertake immediate and rigorous vigilance within their respective jurisdictions. It directed to ‘closely track’ the attendance and performance of all officers to ensure they are physically present at their designated stations and fulfilling their assigned responsibilities, and undertake regular on-site inspections of government offices and departments. The ENSF has instructed its units to report instances of habitual absence, professional negligence, or dereliction of duty to the federation for "immediate and appropriate action.”
The federation cautioned that it will not tolerate any compromise on public service delivery and called for full cooperation and transparency from all officials serving in the Eastern region.
