Essay competition marks cooperative week

Kohima, June 30 (MExN): A school level essay writing competition commemorating 5 years of Ministry of Cooperation was held as part of the Cooperative Week Celebration (Coops Day) at RCS Office complex, Meriema Kohima on June 30.

The programme was organised with the objective of promoting awareness among the younger generation on the significance of the cooperative movement, on the theme “Cooperatives for a Peaceful World: Strengthening Communities through Cooperation, Inclusiveness and Sustainable Development.”

The theme highlights the role of cooperatives in fostering economic justice, social harmony, democratic participation, and sustainable development, thereby contributing towards building a peaceful and prosperous world.

31 students representing Don Bosco HSS, Northfield School, G Rio HSS, Ruzhukhrie HSS and TM Govt HSS joined the competition.

The results will be declared and awarded by Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav on July 3 during the Coops Day Celebration at Lok Bhavan, Kohima.
