Dimapur, October 5 (MExN): The family members of late Mayang Lima constructed and donated a waiting shed at the New Naga Cemetery at Zani village on October 5 in his memory.
The donation was made to commemorate the first death anniversary of Mayang Lima, his wife Amongla said on behalf of the family.
She recalled that her late husband's favourite song was “Because He Lives”, which she said had inspired the family.
The family said the donation was made in remembrance of Lima's dedication and altruistic service towards the welfare of the people.
Naga Council Dimapur president GK Rengma appreciated and thanked the family for its generous contribution and thoughtful gesture, saying the waiting shed would benefit mourners and visitors, particularly during the summer heat and rain.
Pastor Alemsunep of World Impact Community Church dedicated the waiting shed and declared it officially open for public use.
