Farewell held for retiring DGM officials

Dimapur, November 30 (MExN): A farewell programme was held on November 29 at the Directorate of Geology & Mining (DGM) Conference Hall, Dimapur to honour Dr Kenyclo Rengma, Director, and Nasetyongo Chang, Junior Engineer (Drilling), on the occasion of their retirement from government service. The event was organised by the department to acknowledge their dedicated service and contributions.

The programme was chaired by Er Chirhotho Rasutho, Joint Director (D), and began with an invocation delivered by Imlinungla Walling, Geologist. A speech on behalf of the department was delivered by Newmai Asingbow, Additional Director and Chairman, DGMEA, who highlighted the professional journey and exemplary leadership of the retiring officers.

Short speeches followed from Advisor Geology & Mining and DUDA, I Himato Zhimomi, Principal Secretary, Geology & Mining, John Kevi Angami, Commissioner & Secretary, Geology & Mining, Kekhriezavi Lea, OSD, Geology & Mining, Albert Yanthan, Managing Director, NSMDC, Hilto Z Swu, Joint Director (G) and President, NGA, Lily Tep (wife of Dr Kenyclo Rengma), and Er Kereisiezo Sachu, Joint Director (M).

Speakers praised the commitment, integrity and contributions of Dr Kenyclo Rengma and Nasetyongo Chang, describing them as dedicated and inspiring figures who have made a significant impact on the department. A special number was also presented by officers and staff of DGM.

In their farewell speeches, Dr Kenyclo Rengma and Nasetyongo Chang expressed gratitude for the support they received throughout their service. They reflected on their careers in the department and encouraged younger officers to continue working with dedication for the advancement of the Geology & Mining Department in Nagaland.

The programme concluded with the vote of thanks delivered by Er S Posatho Ngouri, Joint Director (D).
