FIA win Team Champion in Taekwondo National

Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): The Faith in Action Taekwondo Academy, Nagaland won an overall tally of 42 medals and emerged Team Champion in the 1st Multi-Cultural National Taekwondo Championship held from December 28 to 30, 2015 at Kolkata, West Bengal organised by South Asia Multi-Cultural Taekwondo Organization, Kukkiwon and Korea Taekwondo Academy.  

According to a press release from Faith in Action, the team won 17 Gold, 15 Silver and 10 Bronze Medals, while also winning awards for 3 best players. The best players Award was received by Toluho Yeptho, Jon and Ankit Chhetry from Nagaland.  

The competition was held under the supervision of Grand Master SeongkukJeong, 7th Dan Black Belt, Kukkiwon, South Korea. Pondicherry bagged the runners-up in the Championship.  

Breaking Competition Gold Medals: Toluho Yeptho, Jordan Aito Swu and Nitoka Chophy  

Sparring Competition Gold Medals: Nitoka Chophy, Hiketo Achumi, Jon, Ankit Chhetry, Tohinno Yepthomi, Jennifer Fernandez, Deepika Rani Dhar (Achumi), Rishi Dutt Pandey, Arpita Bhattachrjee, Anish Chhetry and Riyon Dutt Pandey.

Silver Medals: Katila Kachari, Neiweleu Therie, Calvin A Raja, Tenzing Kunsel Lepcha, Deepraj Paswan, Abhay Damai, Ayush Ghosh and Sherry Jindal.

Bronze Medals: Lokivi Aye, Vikupu T. Zhimomi, Subham Sharma, Likika Zhimo and Manish Chhetri.  

Poomsae Competition Gold Medals: Ankit Chhetry, Carne A. Raja and DeeprajPaswan.

Silver Medals: Hipuka I. Jimomi, Diana, Anish Chhetry, Kevin, L. Pfokho, Jennifer Fernandez and Calvin A. Raja.

Bronze Medals: Jon, Tenzing Kunsel Lepcha, Ayush Ghosh, Arpita Bhattachrjee and Deepika Rani Dhar (Achumi)
