DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 12 (MExN): The Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has appealed to leaders of both the Yimkhiung and Tikhir communities “to let go of the past and instead forge true brotherhood for the sake of posterity.”
“At a time when the unified effort of ENPO have achieved FNTA, such unfortunate communal violence instead of dialogue will hamper the peace and development of Eastern Nagaland,” a press release from the NCD stated.
It stated that the NCD upholds the “unshakeable heritage practice of Naga brotherhood and Naga unity among all its affiliated 20 Naga tribes.” “NCD is pained to see that such development of bitter feelings and misunderstandings occurred between its two brother tribe members is extremely unfortunate which should be reconciled and come to good terms immediately,” it added.
