Mokokchung, October 2 (MExN): A free medical camp exclusively for senior citizens was organized by the Süngkomen Baptist Church, Mokokchung on the occasion of Senior Citizens' Sunday on October 1.
A seven-member Palliative Care team from the Impur Christian Hospital (ICH), led by Medical Superintendent Dr Aka Longchar and coordinated by Chaplain Narola Walling, conducted all medical procedures at the camp, Matsüng Lkr, Asst Pastor, Süngkomen Baptist Arogo said.
A total of 92 senior citizens received free medical treatment and medications during the initiative.
The camp was organized to address healthcare access difficulties faced by the elderly and to honour the community's elders, it stated.
