Dignitaries with students of GHS Kandinu during annual sports meet 2025
Kohima, March 14 (MExN): The Government High School Kandinu held its Annual Sports Meet 2025 from March 11 to 13 last at KSU ground.
The inaugural function was graced by Hethinon Mesen, president Kandi Public Union.
Speaking on the occasion, Mesen stressed that “world star players begin like us from poor background and from rural but through hard work, resilience and persistence till they achieve their goal.”
He urged upon the students to be disciplined and maintain good health.
The inaugural programme was attended by village leaders, church leaders, students union, youth & club organisation from six villages and teachers.
Welcome address was delivered by Thongsenlo, Assistant Headmaster while Akicha Kath invoked God’s blessings.
Khriekeyieno Zashumo chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by Kelvin Tep.
The day coincided with NAS test for Vidya Pravesh with Dr.Tasongwi Newmei NCERT coordinator as observer.
Martin Kath and Jonilo Bukh assisted as Field Investigator (FI).
The three day long sports meet was marked by football, volleyball, race, sack race, three leg race, long jump, high jump, discuss throw, javelin throw, shot put etc.
Yellow House emerged overall champion title.
