Kohima, April 18 (MExN): Students of Eden Higher Secondary School, Dimapur, visited Lok Bhavan Kohima on April 18 as part of an educational tour, where Governor Nand Kishore Yadav held an interactive session with them, encouraging the youth to work hard, dream big and contribute meaningfully to society.

During the session, the Governor stressed that there is no substitute for hard work and urged students to develop self-confidence to succeed in life, stated an update received here.

Noting that India is moving toward the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, he said Nagaland must progress alongside the nation and align itself with that larger goal.

Yadav advised the youth not to limit their aspirations to government jobs, and instead pursue innovation, entrepreneurship and creative thinking. He also emphasised that women are equal to men in capability and potential, and called upon every individual to contribute toward the betterment of the state.

The Governor underlined the importance of using technology wisely as an asset, focusing on its benefits. Recounting his own journey into public service, he said that Jayaprakash Narayan inspired him to join the student movement, adding that the motivation for public service must come from within. "Since society gives people opportunities, individuals should also give back to society," he said.

Yadav further highlighted Nagaland's immense potential, particularly in tourism, and called for a change in outdated perceptions about the state.

Sharing memories from his student life, the Governor said strong determination helped him overcome difficulties and bring pride to his family, reiterating that hard work remains the key to success even in challenging circumstances.

The students had the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions and gain insights on leadership, governance and the importance of education during the visit.
