Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, formally inducted as the Chief Patron of the Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides, on September 27.

Kohima, September 27 (MExN): The Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides (NBS&G) Induction and Award Ceremony was held at Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan, Kohima, where the Governor of Nagaland, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, was formally inducted as the Chief Patron of the Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides, on September 27.
In his address, the Governor congratulated the five Scouts and 11 Guides who received the Rajya Puraskar (Governor’s Award), the highest recognition for Scouts and Guides at the State level, stated a press release from the PRO Raj Bhavan, Kohima.
He described the award as not just a badge but a symbol of discipline, leadership, service, and commitment to the principles of Scouting and Guiding. The Governor lauded the recipients for their dedication and spirit of Seva, encouraging them to aspire towards the highest national recognition—the President’s Award for Scouts and Guides.
The Governor highlighted the role of the Bharat Scouts and Guides movement in character building, civic responsibility, and youth development. He praised the Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides for instilling adventure, service, and integrity among the younger generation. Reaffirming his support as Chief Patron, he assured close cooperation with officials, leaders, and volunteers to expand the reach of the movement across all districts of the State.
Earlier, the keynote and welcome address was delivered by Commissioner & Secretary, Youth Resources and Sports (YRS), and Vice President, NBSG, Anthony Ngullie. The Presidential speech and Tritiya Sopan Certificates were presented by MLA & Advisor, YRS, and President, NBSG, S Keoshu Yimkhiung. The Vote of Thanks was proposed by State Commissioner, NBSG, Chubanungla.
During the ceremony, Tritiya Sopan and Rajya Puruskar certificates were presented and Padma Shri Sano Vamuzo was also felicitated for her contributions.
