Dimapur, July 12 (MExN): The 34th Hakhizhe Kiphimi Kuqhakulu (HKK) organised its Summer Meet-cum-Felicitation Programme at Hakhizhe village on July 11 to honour students for their academic achievements.
The programme recognised the village's HSSLC Science stream state second rank holder, who was presented with a cash award sponsored by the village church and an individual family in recognition of the achievement.
The union also felicitated students who secured 85 per cent and above in their examinations with cash prizes to encourage academic excellence.
The programme was chaired by Holi Zhimo, while Isunoka Zhimo served as co-chair. HKK president Piketo Shohe delivered the welcome address. A special prayer for the students was offered by K Pukhaho Swu, Pastor of HGBA.
Delivering the exhortation, government primary teacher Kakheto Zhimo urged students to obey their parents, reduce time spent on mobile phones and focus on building good character.
The vote of thanks was proposed by HKK General Secretary Kikhevi Aye.
The organisers reaffirmed HKK's commitment to supporting the student community and expressed gratitude to the village church, parents and all those who contributed to the success of the programme.
