Agartala, August 23 (MExN): The ICFAI University Tripura is going to set up Incubation Centre by the implementation of New Generation Innovation Network (NGIN) of the Directorate of Information Technology, Government of Tripura.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed for the same on August 18 by Dr. Naresh Babu N, IFS, the Director of IT, and Dr A Ranganath, Registrar of the ICFAI University Tripura, a press release from the university informed.
To support the start-up initiatives, the Tripura Government has framed an ecosystem that promotes innovation in educational institutions and the ICFAI will encourage the students, researchers and its alumni by providing necessary counseling support for innovative concepts and will help them to solve local problems with the help of appropriate IT/ITES based solutions, it said.
For each project, the team will be getting funding to formulate a business model for becoming entrepreneurs and the Government also will provide financial assistance for setting up and operation of incubation centre, it informed.
The main objective of the scheme is to create an ecosystem that promotes entrepreneurship & innovation activities in Tripura, it added.
