Dimapur, April 19 (MExN): Impur Christian Hospital (ICH) conducted a palliative care outreach programme at Nukshiyim Baptist Church on April 18, reaching 35 patients with free medical care and medicines.
A six-member team led by Dr Aka Longchar, Medical Superintendent, and coordinated by Narola Walling, Chaplain, carried out the outreach. The team attended to patients requiring palliative support.
A seminar on palliative care was also held for the Women’s Ministry of the church. Imtinaro Principalnag, ANM School of Nursing, ICH, was the resource speaker. The session focused on basic understanding and practice of palliative care and ways to support patients with serious illnesses.
