Dimapur, August 20 (MExN): Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is conducting Entrance Tests for Management Programmes (Openmat-xxx), Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) Programme, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Post Basic) for the sessions starting from January, 2012 on August 21 and Tier I test of UNESCO Science Olympiad. Openmat-xxx and the Science Olympiad Test will be held from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, B.Ed. Test from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and B.ScN(PB) from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
The Tests are being organized in 311 Examination Centres accommodating 1,74,987 candidates (Openmat-26,563/B.Ed-1,41,118/B.Sc.N(PB)-4262 and UNESCO Science Olympiad-4903). In Nagaland, in two Exam centres, 630 candidates are appearing the B.Ed entrance Test, 15 candidates appearing OPENMAT xxx and one candidate appearing UNESCO Science Olympiad Test.
The Hall-tickets have already been dispatched to the candidates by the University. The particulars of Hall-tickets are also available on the IGNOU Website www.ignou.ac.in . In case of non-receipt of Hall-ticket by any candidate, the Hall-ticket can be downloaded from the University Website by entering Name and Date of Birth of the candidate and report to the Examination Centre. In case candidates are unable to download the Hall-ticket, they can contact the Regional Centre and obtain the information of Examination Centre allocated and report to the Examination Centre with a proof of submission of Entrance Test application form along with recent passport size photograph. In such case they have to submit an undertaking at the Examination Centre stating that in the event of information furnished by them found to be incorrect, their candidature will be cancelled. Candidates must report at the Examination Centre 45 minutes before commencement of the Entrance Test. University has deputed Central Observers in all the 311 examination centres to ensure smooth conduct of the entrance test.
