Imphal, July 7 (NNN): A combined team of police and Assam Rifles arrested an illicit drug peddler from his residence of Lilong in Manipur with a huge cache of Mucosol tablet worth over Rs 1 crore, said a police source. According to the source, the 30-year old Md Abdul Kalam of Lilong Ulou Manga under Thoubal district was arrested from his residence in the wee hours today following a revelation by another illicit drug peddler who was arrested with the same drug by Assam Rifles personnel at Tengnoupal AR post.
A combined team of Lilong police, Tengnoupal police, 28 Assam Rifles Lilong and 29 Assam Rifles Tengnoupal swooped into action and arrested Md Abdul Kalam from his Lilong residence with 3, 90, 000 strips of Mucosol tablet worth over Rs 1 crore in the international black market and Rs 17 lac in cash, said the source. Apparently, Mucosol drug is mixed in No 4 heroin and Efidrine.
