IMMRHS and State Government to sign MoU

Dimapur, July 30 (MExN): The Board chairman of Institute of Management and Medical Research Health Science (IMMRHS), Singrijan Dimapur has revealed to the students and guardians that the Government of Nagaland and the Institute will be signing an MoU wherein, the IMMRHS will be recognized and the government will recommend for affiliation with INC & ITC and the present Institute will be attached with government hospitals. And thereafter, all the students of IMMEHS Singrijan, Dimapur will have equal privileges in reject of employment opportunities.
This was disclosed at a meeting held on July 26 called by the parents/guardians of the aggrieved students with the institute’s authorities, informed a press note issued by the students’ representative of IMMRHS Thepfusatuo (Sato) Chatsu. Also adding that the Board Chairman further assured that after all the formalities are completed; new Provincial Certificates will be issued to the students in order to substantiate the genuineness of the present institution. The board members of the institute further stated that the responsibility is now with the government of Nagaland to initiate appropriate stapes for early settlement of the present issue,
The note stated that the IMMRHS with parents and guardians held a meeting at IMC Hall on July 26. At the meeting, a committee was constituted comprising of the students’ representatives and parents/guardians. The main objective of the committee is to extend support and cooperation to the students’ representatives for finding appropriate and early solution to their legitimate grievances with regard to non-affiliation /non-recognition of the Institute by the government.
However, the Institution authorities did not participate at the said meeting in spite of the information made to the institution authorities and therefore, the students’ representatives and the parents/guardians unanimously decided to meet the institute’s authorities to make certain clarification and to clear the confusion about the status and position of the institute. And accordingly, the meeting of the parents/guardians with the institute authorities was held on the same day, the note stated.
In regard to this, the aggrieved “innocent students” has appealed to all the concern authorities to kindly take the matter seriously and sign the MoU at the earliest taking into consideration their “legitimate and bonafide rights”. “The career of 1000 (one thousand) students must be protected in as much as, we are absolutely innocent. Further, we earnestly request the concern government authorities as well as the Management Board of the Institute that, as and when the M.O.U is signed between the Government of Nagaland and the Institute (IMMRHS) the same shall be published in the Newspaper,” the note stated.
